NSF releases new strategic plan with goals to guide the agency through 2018

The National Science Foundation (NSF) released a new strategic plan on March 13, in concert with the President's Budget Request to Congress for NSF in fiscal year 2015.

The plan, entitled, "Investing in Science, Engineering and Education for the Nation's Future" outlines three primary strategic goals that will guide the agency through 2018:

  • Transform the Frontiers of Science and Engineering.
  • Stimulate Innovation and Address Societal Needs through Research and Education.
  • Excel as a Federal Science Agency.
