Finding Funding

There is a wide range of funding opportunities for Harvard’s researchers within the US federal government, through foundations and other foreign governments, from multilateral and non-profit institutions, as well as from corporations.  Navigating funding announcements and opportunities – and identifying which represent the best match -  can be challenging.  While OSP generally does not seek funding opportunities for  individual faculty members, this section of the website provides comprehensive information on internal and external funding sources.  For access to Foundation Directory Online, Community of Science or SPIN, please contact Ken Carson in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. Additionally, HMS, HSDM, and HSPH maintain a separate list of funding sources at the Harvard Longwood Campus Research Administration website. School-based research administration offices also provide on-site support with proposal development and review.
